The Famous Blue Rapala
This is the famous Blue Rapala, first suggested to me by Denny Sands, a local fishing expert at Shabbona Lake. 2001 was my first season using this lure.
This floating minnow-bait can be worked over shallow weeds and brush when fish are shallow. It comes in many sizes, all of which have produced fish for me this year. So far, a "stop and go" retrieve has been the most productive. I like the 7 inch model (so do the Muskies).
