5  1/2 inch over-sized bass crankbaits, produced these Shabbona fish

These baits are really a joy to use. They cast a mile, and will bounce off of 95% of stumps and trees without hanging up. when you hit a tree, just lower your rod tip, wait a second for the bait to float up backwards a little, then continue your retrieve. The only down side is that they are made of balsa wood, so a decent muskie will ruin the finish by stabbing it full of teeth holes. Bass will also hit this bait without hesitation, so you can fish both species at the same time. After having a big one shake it out at the boat, I started replacing the standard hooks with larger ones. FireTiger pattern is my hands down favorite.
