The Yummy Grub

Yum brand Wooly Curlytail grubs. Amazing baits.
(The package says 3 inch, but they are really 4 inches long.)
| Will catch any bass in the
area. Always. The Hoover Vacuum of bass baits. These can suck a bass out
of the outhouse. All season bait. Red Hot in the summer. Solid performer
in 39 degree water as well.
Now, they are runt machines, 10 inch
bass love them. They rip up with one or two strikes,
you'll burn through several packs of these each day, but they can
and will empty the lake. And they will catch HUGE bass as well. The fast moving Curlytail gives them almost the same wiggle as a Shallow Shad Rap. My favorite colors are brown, green, and blue/black. The brand is not as important as the size of the bait. But I believe having the Curlytail is a must in the spring/early summer. Why? I don't know. It just works 10X better.

I rig them weedless on a 3/0 or 4/0 offset hook behind a 3/8 or 1/2 ounce bullet weight. They slide right through nasty weeds and most important, THE BASS LOVE THEM. |
This is a no brainer... Cast it out and crank it straight back in, just a steady retrieve, nothing fancy, no pauses, twitching or anything else. The bass just want it to swim by nice and steady.
Keep it swimming. Don’t jig it, or bounce it around on the bottom. It’s mimicking a swimming fish, so SWIM IT....
If you want to fish deeper or shallower, just put a bigger or smaller bullet weight.
This is a great lure to let kids fish with, it's EASY and IT CATCHES FISH.
